Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to get set up?−

Nothing! The project is completely free to the school. There are no upfront costs.

The calendars cost £15 each and families place their orders and pay online.

How long does it take to get set up?+

We can create your calendar and have you set up and selling in 48 hours. We recommend a selling window of around 10 days. Once your shop closes it takes about 4 working days to deliver calendars to school — and we transfer any money raised to your PTA.

How do parents order?+

We set up a shop page so parents can order online via our secure checkout. We send the money raised direct to your PTA. If you have your own payment system, you can collect payments independently — we invoice you for printing costs and you keep the same revenue.

When should we sell calendars?+

There are four options: Nov/Dec (deliver before Christmas), Jan (start of term), June/July (academic year calendar delivered before summer), or Sept (back-to-school energy, great for new reception parents).

When will the calendars be delivered?+

We print after your order deadline and deliver directly to school within 4–5 working days, along with a detailed breakdown of who ordered so it's easy to distribute to the right families.

We don't have all our dates yet, can we still create a calendar?+

Yes! All you need is your term dates. Each calendar comes with a sticker pack including stickers for inset days, sports days and more — families can add dates once confirmed.

Can we vary the selling price to parents?+

Yes, no problem. We take a flat cost per calendar depending on order volume, and the rest is yours. £15 is our suggested retail price but you're welcome to charge more or less.

Is there a minimum number of orders?+

No minimum. You only earn money for your PTA at 11 orders or more. If you have 1–10 orders we still print and fulfil them — so small schools can still offer bespoke calendars their families love.

How much can we make for the PTA?+

11–15 orders: £3 per calendar
16–20 orders: £4 per calendar
21–30 orders: £5 per calendar
31–50 orders: £6 per calendar
51+ orders: £6.50 per calendar

A final reminder on the last day always drives a good chunk of sales!

Can we add the school logo?+

Adding logos isn't something we offer at the moment. Your school's name is added to the calendar in keeping with the calendar's style — we find the calendars look better with just the name.

About The Calendar Project

I wanted to provide something beautiful and useful, with a light environmental footprint that gives back…

My name is Alexis and I run the Peoples Press Calendar Project alongside my role as Head of Careers at a London comprehensive school.

It started simply: a poster-sized wall planner I made for my son to learn the months of the year. The next year I printed one for my office with school holidays shaded in - my boss put one up too. When I made a version for our PTA, with dates like sports day and parents' evenings added in, families loved seeing everything at a glance. Children loved counting down to the holidays.

That reaction made me realise other PTAs could do the same - and the Calendar Project was born.

After 10+ years in school PTAs, I know an admin-light fundraiser is gold-dust. No artwork, no scanning, no volunteers, no cake stalls. Just raising money for your school while giving families something genuinely useful.
